Elijah has had a good month. After having trouble falling asleep on his own throughout December, we've got him back to having good naps in his crib during the day. (Night time is another story, though...)
This month brought lots of new entertainment for him, as he tried out the Jolly Jumper, exersaucer, and high chair. And while he likes all of those, I think he's still happiest on the floor. He can roll both ways, now, and spends a lot of time on his belly. On the slippery hardwood floors, he sometimes spins in circles or slides backwards. He is getting much grabbier, as he sits on your lap and tries to get into your food or the computer or paint brushes or whatever you happen to have in your hands. He hasn't had any food yet (besides a couple tastes of whipping cream), but he watches us so carefully when we eat, just waiting for his chance. He loves to grab faces and do slobbery kisses.
He also still loves his sisters, and they love him back.
This past week, Naomi has changed him a few times - diaper, shirts, sleepers, pants - she's done it all - very helpful! It's fun to watch her change him, as she sings and talks to him the whole time.

(I just love his little swirl of hair on his forehead. And the drool... you have to love the drool.)
